According to league officials, a record 879 foreign cricketers from 24 countries have signed up for the auction, underlining the PSL’s growing appeal on the global cricketing stage.
The upcoming season marks a historic shift for the tournament, as the PSL will adopt a full-fledged auction system for the first time, replacing the draft-based recruitment model used since the league’s launch in 2016.
Australia has emerged as the most represented country in the registration pool, with 60 players expressing interest.
Alongside Warner and Khawaja, the Australian contingent includes prominent names such as Aaron Hardie, Ashton Turner, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Will Sutherland, Moises Henriques, Jason Behrendorff, and leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha, providing franchises with a wide range of elite batting and bowling options.
