The wait for the third installment of the beloved Welcome franchise is nearly over. The makers of Welcome to the Jungle (also known as Welcome 3) have officially locked June 26, 2026, as the theatrical release date for what is being described as one of the most ambitious comedy-action films in Indian cinema history.
30+ Actors All together
Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film wrapped production in late 2025 with a massive celebration on Christmas Day. Unlike the previous films, this installment is shifting away from traditional slapstick toward a “dark situational comedy.
Why is the Hype So Massive?
The biggest talking point is the on-screen reunion of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon after nearly 20 years. Their chemistry was legendary in the 90s, and fans are eager to see them share the screen again.
While many are mourning the absence of Anil Kapoor (Majnu Bhai) and Nana Patekar (Uday Bhai), the return of Paresh Rawal as Dr. Ghungroo provides a vital link to the franchise’s comedic roots.
Director Ahmed Khan has promised a complete turnaround. By blending “black humor” with the scale of an action blockbuster, the film aims to appeal to modern audiences who prefer witty situational comedy over loud gags.
The cast reads like a “who’s who” of Bollywood’s 90s and 2000s comedy legends (Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor), mixed with modern stars like Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez.
The film’s release sets the stage for a massive box office collision. Welcome to the Jungle will debut just one day after Jr NTR’s highly anticipated action epic Dragon (releasing June 25, 2026).
Furthermore, it faces internal competition within the comedy genre, as Dhamaal 4 is scheduled to arrive just one week later on July 3, 2026.
