Gold prices in Pakistan surged to another record high on Saturday, tracking gains in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold rose by Rs6,500 per tola to reach Rs521,162.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs5,573 to Rs446,812, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, on Friday, gold had already climbed by Rs9,100 per tola, settling at Rs514,662.
In the international market, gold prices jumped $65 to reach $4,988 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Silver prices also touched a new all-time high, rising by Rs526 to Rs10,801 per tola.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
