Social media has been buzzing with rumors that South Indian superstar Dhanush and actress Mrunal Thakur have secretly tied the knot.
The speculation reached a fever pitch today after a video clip surfaced online appearing to show the two in traditional wedding attire.
The Viral Clip: Real or Fake?
The widely circulated video shows the duo smiling at a wedding altar, surrounded by a star-studded guest list including Thalapathy Vijay, Dulquer Salmaan, Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, and Shruti Haasan.
However, fans’ hopes were quickly dashed as a closer inspection confirmed the footage is entirely AI-generated.

Sharp-eyed viewers pointed out that actor Ajith Kumar could not have been at a Chennai wedding on Thursday, as he was in Dubai for the 24H Dubai Series racing event.
Sources close to Dhanush have firmly dismissed the video as “completely fake and baseless.”
Dating Rumors and the “Valentine’s Day” Buzz
Dhanush and Mrunal have been linked since mid-2025, following frequent public appearances and social media interactions. Earlier this month, reports suggested a private February 14 (Valentine’s Day) wedding was in the works, a claim Mrunal’s team recently scoffed at, stating she is focused on back-to-back film releases in February and March.
Dhanush was previously married to Aishwarya Rajinikanth for 18 years. The couple announced their separation in 2022 and were granted a legal divorce by a Chennai family court in November 2024.
While the friendship between Dhanush and Mrunal remains strong, there is currently no official confirmation of a romantic relationship or impending nuptials.
