Due to technical and operational reasons, flight operations at Karachi Airport came to a halt, resulting in the cancellation of eight flights.
Flights operated by both foreign and local airlines from Karachi to Jeddah, Dubai, Lahore, and Islamabad were affected.
The cancelled flights include Flynas flight XY-638 from Karachi to Jeddah, Airblue flight PA-110 from Karachi to Dubai, and AirSial flights PF-143 and PF-145 from Karachi to Lahore.
Additionally, Airblue flight PA-404 from Karachi to Lahore, Airblue flight PA-200 from Karachi to Islamabad, AirSial flight PF-123 from Karachi to Islamabad, and PIA flight PK-370 from Karachi to Islamabad were also cancelled.
Airport authorities said efforts are underway to resolve the technical and operational issues at the earliest, while affected passengers have been advised to stay in contact with their respective airlines for updates regarding rescheduling, refunds, or alternative travel arrangements.
However, the sudden disruption has caused overcrowding at the airport and further inconvenience for travelers, especially those with connecting international flights.
