The release of the anti-Pakistan propaganda film Border 2 was halted, and early morning shows were cancelled across India.
According to Indian media reports, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol’s much-anticipated return to the big screen in the sequel to Border was scheduled to begin this morning amid great excitement from fans nationwide.
However, many moviegoers were left waiting outside closed cinemas, as the film could not be released on time, resulting in prolonged disappointment for fans.
Reports said that technical issues were encountered during the release process, which affected the initial screenings of Border 2.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 stars Sunny Deol alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in leading roles.

The film’s story is once again set against the backdrop of the 1971 Pakistan-India war, while Akshaye Khanna, Suniel Shetty, and Sudesh Berry will appear in brief roles using digital de-aging technology.
Border 2 was scheduled for release across India today, but last-minute technical problems forced the cancellation of all shows nationwide.
Exhibitors in various cities confirmed that screenings scheduled for 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. could not take place as planned.
Trade reports stated that the film’s final version was not ready until late Thursday night. The content delivery company UFO Moviez informed theaters that the film material would be available much later than expected.
In a message sent to cinema owners, it was stated that the download would begin at 6:30 a.m., and since the film has a runtime of 192 minutes, preparations for screening could take up to four hours.
