A disturbing incident of rape and tortured emerged in Sanghar when a 14-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped by a village landlord’s son and cutting off her tongue with a sharp instrument.
As per local media reports, the incident occurred within the limits of the Chotiaria police station in Sanghar. The girl’s heirs rushed her to the DHQ Hospital in an injured condition. After providing initial medical assistance, hospital authorities advised that she be admitted for further treatment; however, the heirs suddenly left the hospital without proceeding with the admission or receiving complete medical care.
Meanwhile, SHO Azam Bhangur said that upon receiving information about the incident, police obtained details from the heirs and registered a non-cognizable (NC) report.
He added that a letter has been issued to the heirs for a medical certificate and further investigation is under way. He said that if the heirs choose to register a formal case, all legal requirements will be fulfilled and the accused will be brought to justice.
Meanwhile, an inquiry was conducted into the case of the rape of a woman named Asia Khoso by police officers in Tehsil Thal of Jacobabad, which proven that six police officers gang-raped the girl, Asia Khoso.
The police officers involved in the incident were arrested, and a case was registered against six police officers at the RD 44 police station on the request of the victim’s grandmother, Noor Khatoon.
The accused names include ASI Mehrab Sundarani, Head Constable Abdul Nabi Samat, and four constables, Ghulam Yasin Jakhrani, Khadim Hussain Jakhrani, Mir Hassan Bambal and Barkat Jakhrani.
