India’s notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has allegedly issued death threats to Punjabi singer Pratik Bachan, popularly known as B Praak.
According to Indian media reports, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang threatened B Praak with death and demanded extortion money amounting to Rs100 million.
The report said that on January 5, B Praak’s close associate and Punjabi singer Dalnor received two missed calls from a foreign number, which he ignored. The following day, he received a call from a different foreign number.
Indian media reported that the caller identified himself as Arju Bishnoi and told Dalnor to convey their message to B Praak.
The caller allegedly warned that B Praak must pay Rs100 million within one week. He reportedly said that B Praak could go to any country, but if anyone connected to him was found near the gang, they would be harmed.
The threat further says that if the demand was not met, B Praak would be “wiped out” and killed.
Following Dalnor’s complaint, police promptly registered a case and launched an investigation. Police officials said efforts are underway to trace the phone calls.
It is worth noting that Pratik Bachan, known professionally as B Praak, is a prominent Punjabi and Hindi singer and music director. His popular songs include “Mann Bharrya” and the hit track “Saari Duniya Jala Denge” from the film Animal.
