Gold prices in Pakistan on Wednesday continued its upward trend as the price of yellow metal climbed by Rs4,300 to reach Rs486,162 in the local market.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs3,687 to Rs416,805, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Tuesday, gold had already touched Rs481,862 per tola after posting a Rs900 increase.
In the international market, gold prices jumped by $43 to $4,638 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium.
Silver prices also moved higher, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs500 to Rs9,575.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
