In Pakistan’s local bullion markets, the price of gold on 8 January stands at Rs466,762 per tola, with buying and selling continuing at this rate until 3:00 pm.
Revised prices will be issued thereafter by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
Local gold markets in Pakistan have witnessed a downward trend in gold prices, while silver rates have remained steady.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa, Gems & Jewellers Association, gold fell by PKR 1,200 per tola today.
As per the latest rates issued by the association, the price of a tola of 24-carat gold decreased by Rs1,200 to reach PKR 466,762, while 10 grams of gold dropped by PKR 1,028 to Rs417,300.
The association also reported that the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold fell by Rs942, now standing at PKR 365,896.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained unchanged. A tola of 24-carat silver held steady at Rs8,361, and 10 grams remained at PKR 7,168.
In the international market, gold also saw a slight decrease, with the price of an ounce falling by $12 to trade at $4,444. International silver prices, however, remained stable at $78.86 per ounce.
