Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has assured that the provincial government will provide full security and protocol arrangements for visiting PTI leader Sohail Afridi during his upcoming visit to Karachi.
Speaking to the media, Memon highlighted the Sindh government’s ongoing commitment to press freedom and the protection of journalists, emphasizing collaboration with media organizations to ensure a safe working environment.
However, the minister took the opportunity to criticize the previous PTI government, raising concerns over its tenure, including the alleged release of terrorists from prisons. He expressed serious objections to PTI’s governance style and political approach, signaling continued scrutiny of the party ahead of Afridi’s visit.

Commenting on national politics, Memon criticized the previous Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, expressing serious concerns over what he described as the release of terrorists from prisons during its tenure.
He said his party had strong reservations about PTI’s governance style and political policies.
Speaking on the journalists’ matter, Memon reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure working environment for journalists and media institutions.
He said the Sindh administration believes in constructive engagement with press bodies and will continue to extend its cooperation to address issues faced by the media community.
