Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that a special security unit is being established in Islamabad to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior, Mohsin Naqvi made these remarks during a meeting with China’s Minister of Public Security, Wang Xiaohong, in Beijing.
The meeting between the two leaders was held at the headquarters of China’s Ministry of Public Security, where Mohsin Naqvi was warmly received.

During the discussions, both sides agreed to develop a joint and rapid-response mechanism to counter terrorism, including the expansion of training programs to enhance police capacity.
Wang Xiaohong praised Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism and strengthening internal security, stating that China values Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Both ministers also agreed on a joint strategy to enhance the training and professional skills of police and security personnel and pledged to ensure effective information sharing.
Mohsin Naqvi briefed the Chinese minister on the measures being taken to protect Chinese nationals in Pakistan, to which Wang Xiaohong expressed satisfaction.
The interior minister said that the security of Chinese nationals and projects of mutual interest remains Pakistan’s top priority.
