Netflix has officially confirmed that Emily in Paris will return for Season 6. The announcement was made on January 5, following the huge success of the latest season, which was released on December 18, 2025. Season 5 attracted an impressive 26.8 million views worldwide within just 11 days, proving the show’s continued popularity.
Lead actress Lily Collins personally shared the news through a short video posted on the show’s social media pages. In the clip, she appears as Emily Cooper with her new bob haircut, introduced last season.

Smiling at the camera, she later appears on a phone screen blowing out a candle shaped like the number six on a croissant. With roses and the Eiffel Tower in the background, the video hints at exciting new developments in the upcoming season.
Earlier, series creator Darren Star said the show will always stay connected to Paris, even though he enjoys exploring new locations when the story allows it.
He added that taking viewers on new journeys is always something he finds exciting.
In Season 5, Emily spent time in Rome with her new boyfriend, Marcello Muratori. However, she eventually returned to Paris after a major fashion event. The season ended with her former love, Chef Gabriel, sending her a letter inviting her to Greece.
Season 6 may explore whether Emily reconnects with Gabriel, continues her life in Rome with Marcello, or begins another adventure.
Meanwhile, Mindy accepts Nicolas’ proposal while still having feelings for Alfie, adding more drama to the story.
