A senior official of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has firmly stated that the national team will not travel to India under any circumstances.
BCB Director Asif Akbar took a strong stance regarding India, saying, “We will not go to India for the World Cup.”
He added that while it is a separate matter if the ICC selects Sri Lanka or Bangladesh as a venue, the board has made a clear decision not to go to India, citing safety concerns for the team.
Meanwhile, Indian board secretary Devajit Saikia had announced the release of Mustafizur Rahman from the IPL.
Following this, the Bangladesh Cricket Board demanded that the ICC transfer the T20 World Cup matches away from India.
