Pakistan’s latest foreign exchange rates in the open and interbank markets have been released, showing key currencies, including the US dollar, euro and British pound, holding steady at elevated levels.
As a result, market watchers linked to imports, overseas travel and remittances continue to monitor currency movements closely.
In the open market, the US dollar is being bought at Rs281 and sold at Rs282.75, while in the interbank market it is trading at Rs280.05 for buying and Rs280.50 for selling.
The euro is being bought at Rs328 and sold at Rs331.50 in the open market. In interbank trading, the euro remained within a range of Rs326.93 to Rs327.51.
The British pound sterling continues to rank among the most expensive currencies in the open market, where it is being bought at Rs376.65 and sold at Rs380.50. In the interbank market, the pound traded in a narrow band between Rs375.67 and Rs376.34.
Minor fluctuations were observed in the Saudi riyal and UAE dirham. In the open market, the Saudi riyal is being bought at Rs74.85 and sold at Rs75.50, while the UAE dirham traded between Rs76.50 and Rs77.50.
According to experts, global market trends, import pressure and foreign exchange reserves will determine the direction of currency rates in the coming days.
For now, however, the market continues to move forward with caution.
