Former actress and singer, and prominent social worker Rabi Pirzada has spoken publicly for the first time about her marriage and khula (Islamic divorce).
Rabi Pirzada recently gave an interview to actor Ahmed Ali Butt, during which she discussed her personal life as well as her work in social welfare.
Responding to a question about her marriage, Pirzada said that she had been married and later sought khula.
She added that this was the first time she had disclosed taking khula, explaining that she had not spoken about it previously. She said that following various issues in her married life, she decided to pursue khula.
When asked about remarriage, the former actress said that she does intend to marry again.
In response to a question from the host about a compromise she should not have made, Pirzada said that she should not have married under pressure from her parents. She revealed that her marriage was a watta satta (exchange marriage).
