Pakistan has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 International series against Sri Lanka, with Salman Ali Agha named as captain.
The squad features a mix of fresh faces and experienced players, including the maiden T20 call-up for wicketkeeper-batsman Khawaja Nafiq and the return of all-rounder Shadab Khan following his recovery from shoulder surgery.
Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi are not part of the T20 squad, and Haris Rauf has once again not been considered.
The T20 squad includes captain Salman Ali Agha, Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Muhammad Nafiq, and Mohammad Nawaz. Mohammad Salman Mirza, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan, and Usman Tariq are also part of the squad.
It is worth noting that the Pakistan cricket team will depart for Sri Lanka in phases on January 4 and 5, 2026.
The three T20 International matches between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played on January 7, 9, and 11 in Dambulla.
Meanwhile, the PCB has also announced the team management. Naveed Akram Cheema will serve as the team manager for the series against Sri Lanka.
Mike Hesson will be the head coach for white-ball cricket, Ashley Noffke the bowling coach, Mohammad Hanif Malik the batting coach, and Shane McDermott the fielding coach.
Cliff Deacon will be the physiotherapist, Grant Luden the strength and conditioning coach, Talha Ejaz the team analyst, and Syed Naeem Ahmed the team’s media manager.
