Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid glowing tribute to the former Prime Minister, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, on her 18th death anniversary, stating that her unparalleled struggle for democracy, public rights, and the stability of the Federation of Pakistan remains a guiding light for the nation.
In a special message released to mark her martyrdom, the prime minister highlighted that Benazir Bhutto’s political legacy is defined by a deep sense of patriotism. He praised her efforts in promoting a culture of political tolerance, calling it a highly commendable contribution to the country’s democratic evolution.
“The services of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for the country and the nation will always be remembered,” the Prime Minister stated.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significant steps taken by the late leader to empower women and protect the rights of minorities.
Renewing the government’s pledge to continue her mission, PM Shehbaz Sharif said her sacrifices serve as a beacon of hope. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing the journey of tolerance, the rule of law, and public welfare.
Concluding his message, the Prime Minister prayed for the departed soul, asking Allah (SWT) to grant her an elevated station in Jannah and to give patience to her family and followers.
