In a significant boost to bilateral ties, the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in Pakistan today for a high-profile, one-day official visit.
The arrival was marked by a spectacular display of military honor.
As the UAE president’s aircraft entered Pakistani airspace, it was immediately escorted by a formation of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jets.
Upon landing, the fighter jets presented an aerial salute to the distinguished guest, signaling the deep strategic bond between the two nations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, at whose invitation the visit is taking place, personally received the UAE President.
The federal capital has been transformed for the occasion, with major highways and government buildings decorated with the national flags of both countries and large portraits of the two leaders.

According to a statement from the Foreign Office, the president is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including key cabinet ministers and senior officials. The visit is set to cover a broad agenda:

This visit is seen as a reflection of the long-standing and fraternal relations that have existed for decades. It follows a series of recent high-level engagements, including previous visits by Pakistan’s top civil and military leadership to the UAE.
During the visit, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will hold a meeting with the prime minister, where the two leaders will review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
