Precious metal prices in Pakistan reached unprecedented heights on Friday, December 26, 2025, as both gold and silver continued their relentless upward march in the local bullion market.
According to the latest data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs500, settling at a staggering Rs473,362 per tola.
The rally was reflected across all major denominations and purities:
Gold 24K (Per Tola): Rs473,362 (up Rs500)
Gold 24K (10 Grams): Rs405,831 (up Rs429)
Gold 22K (10 Grams): Rs372,025 (up Rs393)
International Gold: $4,510 per ounce (up $5)
Silver Prices Hit All-Time Highs
Silver witnessed an even more dramatic surge, signaling a broad-based rally in the precious metals sector:
Silver 24K (Per Tola): Rs7,945 (up Rs240)
Silver 24K (10 Grams): Rs6,811 (up Rs206)
International Silver: $74.70 per ounce (up $2.40)
Market analysts attribute this historic surge to a combination of international and domestic factors:
On the international front, spot gold traded near $4,518 per ounce, fueled by speculative year-end buying and heightened geopolitical risks.
Expectations of further U.S. interest rate cuts have increased the appeal of non-yielding assets like gold and silver.
The ongoing wedding season in Pakistan has sustained high local demand, providing further support to the price hike despite the record-breaking levels.
