The Islamabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory, announcing that several major roads in the federal capital will be temporarily closed for six hours today.
As per the police, various roads in Islamabad will be closed for traffic today from 11 AM to 5 PM. According to the Traffic Police, diversions will be set up on Police Lines Road and Faisal Avenue.
Diversions will also be placed on Srinagar Highway and Express Highway. The Traffic Police spokesperson advised citizens to use alternative routes such as Margalla Road, Club Road, and service roads.
Citizens are advised to allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for travel, as Islamabad Traffic Police staff will be present on the roads to assist the public.
The Traffic Police spokesperson added that citizens can contact the traffic helpline at 1915 or 15 for guidance.
