The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its historic bullish run today on Friday, with the benchmark KSE-100 index surging to an unprecedented all-time high on the final day of the trading week.
Spurred by strong investor confidence, the market opened on a positive note, quickly crossing the psychological barrier of 172,000 points.

During the session, the KSE-100 index climbed by 330 points to reach 172,290, while hitting a peak intraday high of 172,674 points.
This surge follows a strong performance on Thursday, when the market closed at 171,960 points.
Financial analysts attribute this sustained momentum to improved macroeconomic indicators, including a reported current account surplus and stabilizing interest rate expectations, which have encouraged both local and institutional buying.
Current Level: 172,290 points (up 330 points)
Intraday High: 172,674 points
Previous Close: 171,960 points
Market experts suggest that if the index sustains its position above the 172,000 mark by the closing bell, it could pave the way for further gains in the coming week.
