Islamabad and its surrounding regions were shaken by earthquake tremors on Thursday, causing widespread alarm among residents.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the earthquake measured a magnitude of 5.7 with a depth of 12 kilometers.

Frightened by the tremors, people rushed out of their homes, reciting prayers for safety.
The PMD reported that the earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
Tremors were also felt in Chitral and Dir, adding to concerns across northern Pakistan.
Authorities have urged residents to remain calm and follow safety measures while monitoring for any potential aftershocks.
