Punjab moves ahead with strictly regulated Basant Festival plans

In an important meeting chaired by Punjab’s Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, a major decision was made regarding the celebration of Basant.

According to media reports, the meeting concluded that the existing law governing Basant celebrations in Lahore will be enforced strictly.

It was decided that Basant will be celebrated across Lahore on February 6, 7, and 8. During these days, safety rods will be required on all motorcycles, and kite string (dor) will be manufactured only at designated locations within the city.
