The Punjab government has officially denied reports claiming that the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, has been moved from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to another location.
Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari refuted the rumors, stating, “The PTI founder is absolutely fine. The talk about transferring him from jail to any other place is completely baseless.”
This clarification comes amid heightened sensitivity regarding Imran Khan’s status and location, following recent rumors about his health that were also dismissed by Adiala Jail authorities.
The Punjab government’s statement aims to put an end to the speculation surrounding his detention.

Earlier, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif strongly criticized her political opponents, particularly those in high office, for engaging in rhetoric centered on “arson, siege, rallies, and chaos,” questioning their dedication and priorities.
The CM remarked on the conduct of provincial leaders: “I wonder where Chief Ministers who talk about arson, siege, rallies, and chaos get so much time from? Where do these people get that kind of heart, and where do they get so much courage?”
She stressed that holding a public office is a solemn commitment, not a leisure activity. “People consider government office a form of recreation; holding a government office is a very big burden and a huge responsibility,” she said, adding a pointed spiritual question: “Won’t they have to answer to Allah?”
Maryam Nawaz’s comments emphasize her view that certain political figures are neglecting the serious duties of their office by promoting disruptive political tactics.
The rapid denial by a senior government official indicates a clear effort to manage the information flow and prevent speculation regarding the former prime minister’s well-being and status, which has historically caused political tension and public unrest.
Since his conviction and subsequent detention, Adiala Jail has been the fixed point of reference for his imprisonment. Any suggestion of a transfer immediately raises alarms among his supporters, who view it as a move to isolate him further.
