Oman has introduced a cultural visa, providing foreign skilled people with opportunities to participate in the fields of arts, culture, and research.
This visa is designed for people who wish to take part in Oman’s cultural activities, such as temporary stays for cultural exchange or technical training, research or educational collaboration in arts, culture, or heritage, participation in cultural conferences, fairs, or exhibitions, and organizing cultural events or exhibitions.
The cultural visa has various duration including a one-year visa, a five-year visa (with annual fees), and a ten-year visa (with annual fees).
This is one of the reasons why visa applicants must determine which visa best suits their stay in Oman, with appropriate sponsorship sought from an Omani institution, such as the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth or cultural centers. The sponsor will then handle all other arrangements, including application processing and accommodation.
How to apply
People, who desire to obtain this visa, must send the form with all required documents to the relevant institution. Upon approval, this visa is issued for temporary residence and participation in cultural activities in Oman.
Applicants’ spouses and children can also get visas to accompany them if desired, provided their names are included in the application form.
Once the visa is granted, individuals can engage in Oman’s vibrant cultural environment through research, fairs, exhibitions, or creative collaborations.
Under this Oman visa program, the country invites gifted people from all over the world to share in Oman’s cultural activities and promotes art and research in the country.
