The Sindh Health Department has stated that three more dengue patients have died in the province, including two women, bringing the total number of deaths this year to 36.
According to details, the Health Department said that a 50-year-old man and an 80-year-old woman in Hyderabad, while a 55-year-old woman in Karachi, passed away.
The Health Department reported that during the last 24 hours, 180 new dengue patients were admitted to various hospitals in the province, out of which 113 were admitted to government hospitals and 57 to private hospitals.
Currently, 241 patients are under treatment in government and private hospitals across the province. In Karachi division, 44 patients were admitted to government hospitals, 35 in Hyderabad, and 34 from other districts.
The department said that a total of 5,229 dengue tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, out of which 774 came back positive. During the same period, 191 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
Health officials have appealed to citizens to take precautionary measures, eliminate mosquito breeding sites, and immediately seek medical assistance if symptoms appear.
