At least 12 people were martyred and several others injured in a suicide blast carried out by militants affiliated with the India-backed Fitnatul Khawarij group outside the G-11 District Courts in Islamabad.
The explosion occurred at the main entrance of the court premises, hitting people gathered nearby. The suspected suicide bomber’s severed head was found at the scene.
Rescue teams swiftly transported the bodies and injured to nearby hospitals, where an emergency has been declared in all medical facilities.
