A tragic incident occurred in Islamabad’s G-11 sector when a powerful explosion struck a vehicle outside the District Courts (Kacheri) at Gate Number 11. National media reports confirm that the blast claimed the lives of 12 people and left 25 others injured.
Initial eyewitness videos and social media reports show a vehicle engulfed in flames, with debris scattered across the parking lot and adjacent structures.

What was initially described as a possible gas cylinder mishap has escalated into confirmation of a suicide bombing, marking a significant security breach in the capital.
According to reports, five people are dead and 13 people were injured in a blast. Upon receiving the report, rescue teams and a heavy police force rushed to the scene.
Police reported that the attacker failed to enter the courthouse and detonated explosives near a police vehicle outside. The injured were taken to PIMS Hospital, some in critical condition.
Following the attack, security in the area was increased, and senior police officials visited the scene and the hospital. This bombing is part of a recent rise in militant activity in Pakistan, and an investigation is underway
Some early reports suggested a gas cylinder detonation inside a parked vehicle, but visuals of the blast’s intensity (including a large fireball and shrapnel) point to explosives.
The explosion caused partial collapse of an upper-floor wall at the courts, with debris impacting nearby residential roofs and two adjacent rooms. The targeted vehicle was completely destroyed, and the parking area remains sealed.
