After the success of ‘Thama’, filmmaker Amar Kaushik, preparing for the sixth film in the Maddock horror-comedy universe, ‘Shakti Shalini’, has denied rumors of casting Aneet Padda in place of Kiara Advani.
Speaking to the Indian media, Amar Kaushik said, “Kiara is a beautiful actress. But her casting in the film was never confirmed. I don’t know how this rumor spread. I always want to work with Kiara. I am waiting — for when I will direct or produce one of her films.”
Continuing the conversation, Amar Kaushik further said that when you are writing a story, you decide which actor would be suitable for a role. “And we were in the process of writing ‘Shakti Shalini’ when ‘Siyara’ was recently released.”

According to the Indian media, when asked whether Kiara was ever locked for the project, Amar Kaushik confirmed, “Kiara was never locked for the film. We were only thinking about which actors could play this role.”
Filmmaker Amar Kaushik also pointed out that such rumors can put a strain on relationships in the film industry and added that some people pay to spread negative publicity. “These speculations tire you out, and you have to deal with them instead of focusing on your work.”
Amar Kaushik said, “These things happen behind your back… but you can’t do anything about them because these things happen in our own house, and they are visible in the industry.”
Praising Aneet Padda and her acting abilities, Amar said, “Aneet has showcased a little of her talent in ‘Siyara’. This girl is brimming with talent. Sometimes you have to catch her and tell her not to overthink. There is a volcano (of acting) inside her.”
