Renowned educationist and human rights activist Dr. Arifa Syeda Zehra has passed away. Prominent figures have expressed grief over her demise.
According to details, Dr. Arifa Syeda Zehra gained fame as a distinguished Pakistani scholar, educationist, and social reformer. After studying at Lahore College for Women University and Government College University, Lahore, she obtained her PhD in History from the University of Hawaii.

She served as the Principal of Lahore College for Women and Government College for Women, Gulberg, and later as a Professor at Forman Christian College University.

Dr. Zehra also served as the Chairperson of the National Commission on the Status of Women and held the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Heritage.
Dr. Arifa Syeda Zehra’s lifelong efforts focused on promoting the Urdu language, women’s rights, and moral public values, making her one of the most respected intellectual voices in Pakistan.
