Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is a research-intensive university located in Education City, Qatar, has announced scholarships for international students including Pakistan.
HBKU primarily offers innovative and multidisciplinary graduate (Master’s and PhD) programs, with some undergraduate programs available, in a wide array of fields. Its academic structure comprises six colleges:
- College of Islamic Studies
- College of Humanities and Social Sciences
- College of Science and Engineering
- College of Law (offers the first-of-its-kind J.D. degree in the MENA region)
- College of Health and Life Sciences
- College of Public Policy
Eligibility Criteria
- HBKU Scholarships 2026-2027 are open to both Qatari and international students.
- Scholarships are awarded upon admission to eligible programs, and applicants must meet the minimum admission requirements.
- Khalifa scholarships and tuition waivers correspond to the program’s duration: four years for a BS, two years for an MS/MA, and three to four years for a PhD.
- Graduate applicants to the College of Islamic Studies must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 from a recognized university.
- Admission to Graduate Certificates in Islamic Studies or Islamic Finance requires a relevant bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, while PhD applicants require a master’s degree.
- PhD candidates must demonstrate strong research potential, exceptional academic performance, and commitment to innovative research.

- Scholarships offer partial to full tuition waivers (35-100%) based on merit, financial need, and enrollment status (full-time/part-time).
