Four people were injured in an explosion caused by a gas cylinder at the Supreme Court canteen in the federal capital, Islamabad, as reported by national media on Tuesday.
According to details, the injured from the cylinder blast are being shifted to the hospital, while the Bomb Disposal Squad team has also arrived at the Supreme Court and begun collecting evidence.
The explosion damaged furniture in the canteen, and the concerned authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. According to a report, sources stated that the blast occurred during maintenance work at the AC gas plant, injuring four people.
The report stated further that the explosion was so powerful that lawyers present in the courtrooms rushed out of their chambers.
It is worth mentioning that several cylinder explosions have occurred in various cities across the country in the past, resulting in significant loss of life.
The main causes of such incidents include the use of substandard cylinders, lack of regular safety inspections, and failure to comply with CNG regulations and safety protocols.
