A high-level Coordination Meeting of Arab-Islamic Foreign Ministers on the situation in Gaza was held in Istanbul, where the joint declaration demanded Israel’s complete compliance with an immediate ceasefire.
According to details, the statement issued after the Istanbul high-level meeting said that all obstacles hindering humanitarian aid to Gaza should be removed. It further stated that without recognizing the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and national representation, lasting peace in the region is not possible.
The declaration called for allowing at least 600 aid trucks to enter Gaza without obstruction and for immediately sending at least 50 fuel vehicles to Gaza. It also mentioned that the establishment of an international stabilization force will be considered.
According to the declaration, Gaza’s political administration should be under the Palestinian Authority rather than any external power. Expressing concern, the statement said that despite the ceasefire, Israeli attacks on Gaza are alarming, resulting in the martyrdom of another 250 Palestinians.
It should be noted that earlier, a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump; however, Israel’s aggression did not stop. Despite the ceasefire, at least 250 Palestinians have been martyred and hundreds injured as a result of continued attacks.
