Pakistan’s Foreign Office has said that it is premature to comment on the defense agreement between India and the United States, as its implications for South Asia are still being assessed.
According to details, in a recent statement, the spokesperson for the Foreign Office said that this agreement is a recent development which was implemented this morning.
The spokesperson further stated that Pakistan is particularly reviewing the impact of this agreement on peace, security, and stability in South Asia.
It is pertinent to mention that U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed on Friday that the United States has signed a 10-year defense framework agreement with India.
In a post on X, Pete Hegseth stated that this framework marks a milestone for regional stability and defense balance, and will enhance cooperation, information exchange, and technological collaboration between the two countries.
