In Karachi’s Clifton Block 2 area, a motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a water tanker, as reported by national media on Friday.
According to Chhipa officials, the accident occurred when the motorcyclist was struck by a water tanker, resulting in his instant death.
The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Hafizur Rehman. His body has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
Initial reports suggest the accident occurred due to the driver’s negligence. Police have launched an investigation.
It is worth mentioning that similar accidents involving water tankers and other heavy vehicles have been reported in various parts of Karachi, with an increase noted this year.
Following several such incidents, angry citizens have set the involved vehicles on fire, prompting protests from the Trailers Association.
