Former Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders paid an important visit to PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Lahore, where they discussed the current political situation.
According to reports, Qureshi was at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) hospital for a medical check-up when the meeting took place.
Former PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhry, Mahmood Maulvi, and Imran Ismail met Qureshi, offering their well-wishes and engaging in discussions about the party’s stance amid ongoing political developments.
The meeting underscores ongoing internal PTI coordination as the party navigates legal and political challenges ahead.
Qureshi is currently facing multiple cases in various courts, including one linked to the May 9 riots, the charge for which he has challenged in court.
An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore recently acquitted Qureshi in the May 9 case while handing down 10-year prison sentences to senior PTI leaders Dr Yasmin Rashid, Omer Sarfraz Cheema, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid, and former senator Ejaz Chaudhry. This marked the fourth case in Lahore in which Qureshi has been acquitted, whereas the other leaders were convicted.
