A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Faridabad, Haryana, where a 15-year-old girl was gang-raped by four men in a moving car. Police officials said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to arrest the accused.
According to police officials, the victim is a resident of Sector 18 in Faridabad and is a student of a private school who has known the 22-year-old accused for the past two months. The two had planned to meet on Sunday evening, but the boy brought three more of his friends and convinced her to drive for a while and return home.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Usha Devi said that the accused planned to take the girl to Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh. Police believe that during the journey, they gave the girl drinks laced with drugs, after which she was gang-raped in a moving car.

DCP Usha Devi said that the victim was probably given intoxicating drinks, after which she was raped in the car. It is not yet clear where exactly the incident took place, as the car was moving.
The entire incident continued throughout the night, and the accused dropped the girl outside her house at around 3 am on Monday. On reaching home, the girl’s condition was very bad; she was unconscious and confused. Seeing this, her sister immediately filed a complaint at the Old Faridabad police station, after which the gang rape case came to light.
Soon after leaving the girl at home, the main accused disappeared and also switched off her mobile phone. DCP Devi said that due to severe shock, the victim is not yet able to narrate the full details of the incident. After initial treatment at the hospital, her condition had stabilised, after which she was discharged. More details will come out only after the statement is recorded.
The police have registered an FIR at the Old Faridabad station under sections 123 (causing hurt by poison to commit an offence), 351(3) (criminal intimidation by threatening to cause death, grievous hurt or dishonour to a woman) and 96 (kidnapping of child) of the Bharatiya Naya Sinhita, and sections 6 (aggravated sexual assault) and 17 (aiding in crime) of the POCSO Act.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanjeev Kumar, who is leading the SIT, confirmed that the main accused is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and is currently absconding. The vehicle used in the crime, which belongs to the sister of the accused, has been identified but is yet to be recovered. Two police teams are conducting raids at various places in Uttar Pradesh to arrest the accused and his accomplices.
