The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced its decision to part ways with the Azad Kashmir government, saying the party would not support any ‘unnatural’ government formation.
President of PML-N Azad Kashmir, Shah Ghulam Qadir, declared that the party will not be part of any “unnatural” government formation and will now sit in the opposition.
He said that if the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) brings a vote of no confidence, it is their democratic right, but PML-N will not be part of any new government.
He further said that any member who deviates from party policy will face disciplinary action, and that a new government is only possible through transparent general elections.
The PML-N Azad Kashmir president added that the party remains active for the welfare of refugees and overseas Kashmiris and will continue to play a constructive role in resolving the constitutional and political crisis.
Currently, the coalition government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir includes PML-N, PPP, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Party, and the Muslim Conference.
