Malala Yousafzai recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, October 20, 2025.
Malala’s new book, Finding My Way, was released on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the day after her show appearance.
In the interview, she explained her intention to present a more personal and unfiltered side of her life to the public.
She mentioned that people often still think of her as the 15-year-old girl who was shot by the Taliban, and she wants to correct that perception, letting people know she is a normal person who has grown up.

The memoir delves into topics like her “reckless” university years at Oxford, meeting and dating her future husband, Asser Malik, dealing with mental health, and the pressure of living up to an international image.
She read an excerpt from the book for the audience, which contained a message about trusting oneself to “float” through an uncertain future rather than clinging to the shore.
