There’s good news for pilgrims wishing to perform Hajj 2026 under the private scheme — the Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the booking deadline by five days.
According to a statement issued on Friday, the ministry directed all approved private Hajj organizers to complete bookings by October 22, in accordance with the Hajj Policy 2026 and the Service Provider Agreement (SPA).
This year, a total of 60,000 seats have been allocated under the private Hajj scheme, of which 55,500 have already been booked, while 4,500 seats remain available.
A spokesperson for the ministry urged applicants to verify the credentials of approved Hajj operators through the official website, and to make payments only via banking channels directly into the company’s account.
Pilgrims have also been advised to obtain a copy of the Hajj agreement and a computerized receipt, and to cross-check booking details and personal information on the ministry’s website or Pak Hajj 2026 mobile app.
The private Hajj bookings began on September 19.
It is worth noting that last year, thousands of pilgrims under the private Hajj scheme were unable to perform the pilgrimage despite full payments, prompting the government to reduce the private operator quota from 90,000 to 60,000 for the upcoming Hajj season.
