Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a significant increase on Thursday, after which the precious metal reached a new all-time high in the country’s history. These prices will remain effective until this afternoon.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs. 1,900, reaching Rs. 442,800.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 1,629 to Rs. 379,629, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold was recorded at Rs. 348,005.
Gold prices also saw a significant rise in the international market, where the price per ounce increased by $19 to reach $4,217.
Experts stated that due to global economic uncertainty, fluctuations in currencies, and possible changes in interest rates, investors are turning to gold as a safe investment.
According to analysts, the increase in the value of the dollar and uncertainty in profit rates have once again made investment in precious metals attractive.
On the other hand, there was no change observed in silver prices. The price of 24-karat silver per tola remained stable at Rs. 5,337, while the price of 10 grams of silver stood firm at Rs. 4,575.
