Shots were fired late Wednesday night at popular comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant, Kap’s Café, in Surrey, British Columbia, according to Indian media reports.
This marks the third such attack on the restaurant since it opened in early July 2025.
Gangsters Goldy Dhillon and Kuldeep Sidhu, reportedly associated with Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, have claimed responsibility for the shooting on social media.
The first attack took place on July 10, just days after the café’s opening, when some staff members were inside. The second occurred on August 8, during which at least 25 shots were fired at the premises.
Following the latest incident, a threatening social media post—allegedly from Dhillon—surfaced, warning the public to stay away from the restaurant.
“I, Goldy Dhillon, take responsibility for the three shootings that took place at Kap’s Café. We have no enmity with the general public,” the post read.
The authenticity of the post has not been verified by authorities. A screenshot of the alleged message has since gone viral.
In the post, Dhillon claimed that he had tried to call Kapil Sharma but “he didn’t hear the ring,” adding, “If he still doesn’t hear the ring, the next action will be conducted in Mumbai.”
Local police have launched an investigation into the shooting spree, while security has been stepped up around the area.
