Saudi low-cost airline flyadeal will begin twice-weekly flights between Riyadh and Lahore starting October 27, marking its fifth destination in Pakistan within just three months, as the carrier ramps up its growth across South Asia.
A sister airline to full-service carrier Saudia, flyadeal entered the Pakistani market in August, initially launching flights to Karachi, followed shortly by services to Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot. With Lahore now added to the network, flyadeal will operate 18 weekly flights to Pakistan.
“It’s been a fantastic few months establishing our footprint in Pakistan with new routes launched in quick succession,” said Steven Greenway, CEO of flyadeal. “We’ve accelerated our expansion due to aircraft availability and strong market demand, which brought forward the launch of the Riyadh–Lahore route.”
The airline’s rapid rollout reflects robust demand from the Pakistani expatriate community in Saudi Arabia, which numbers over 2.7 million people working across various sectors.
Lahore, the capital of Punjab province and Pakistan’s second-largest city with a population of over 13 million, is a key market for flyadeal’s value-oriented approach. All Pakistan-bound flights are operated with Airbus A320 aircraft in a single-class, 186-seat configuration, enabling the airline to offer competitive fares while maintaining capacity.
