The United States, Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar have issued a joint declaration from the Sharm El-Sheikh Gaza Summit, stating that lasting peace will only be achieved when both Palestinians and Israelis can live prosperous lives.
According to details, the Gaza Summit declaration stated that peace and security will be ensured for both Palestinians and Israelis. Genuine progress between the two sides is only possible through cooperation and continuous dialogue.
The declaration further said that respect for holy figures and the sanctity of religious sites is our top priority. Future generations deserve a better future instead of the failures of the past.
The statement, released on Monday after an international summit in Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh, is a rare acknowledgement by US President Donald Trump’s administration that Palestinians and Israelis deserve rights.
Arab media reported that the declaration did not mention a Palestinian state or the right to self-determination.
