Former Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Abdullah bin Omar bin Muhammad Naseef, has passed away, as reported by national media
A greatly respected figure in the Islamic world, former Secretary General of the Muslim World League and former Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, Dr. Abdullah bin Omar bin Muhammad Naseef, passed away today in Jeddah after a prolonged illness.

According to officials, the funeral prayer of Dr. Abdullah bin Omar bin Muhammad Naseef will be offered today, Sunday, at Al-Juffali Mosque in Jeddah, while his burial will take place at Asad Cemetery.
A condolence gathering for men and women is being held for three days from Maghrib to Isha at his residence in Al-Khuzami Towers, Jeddah.
It is to be noted that the Muslim World League, founded in 1962, has its headquarters in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Its founders included prominent religious scholars and leaders from several countries.
The purpose behind the establishment of the Muslim World League was to promote unity and cooperation among Muslim nations and societies, spread the message of Islam, and counter misguided ideologies.
In addition, the Muslim World League has long made efforts to assist Muslim and non-Muslim countries, and one of its objectives has been to promote Islamic education, dialogue, and interfaith harmony.
