Pakistan Cricket Board has finalized the names of 11 players for the first Test against South Africa. 38-year-old Asif Afridi will make his Test debut.
According to details, national media confirmed through sources that spinner Sajid Khan has not fully recovered from viral fever, while spinner Abrar Ahmed could not secure a place in the final squad. The team has decided to field with seven batters.
According to national media reports, Nauman Ali and Asif Afridi will be joined by Salman Ali Agha as the third spinner. Hasan Ali will accompany Shaheen Afridi as the second fast bowler.
Imam-ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafique, and Shan Masood are also included in the first Test match. Former captain Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, and Mohammad Rizwan are part of the final eleven as well.
As per the report, Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Nauman Ali, and Asif Afridi are all included in the team.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, the national cricket team faced tough challenges in the Asia Cup, where the players who reached the final suffered defeat against India and returned home.
