Lahore police have brought back the main suspect in the Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case, Khawaja Tareef Gulshan alias Taifi Butt, from Dubai to Pakistan. The suspect had been presented before a court in Dubai.
According to a report, Khawaja Tareef Gulshan alias Taifi Butt was produced before a Dubai court where the judge asked him about his willingness to return to Pakistan. The suspect agreed to go to Pakistan and face the cases against him.
As per the report, upon the suspect’s consent, the Dubai court handed over Taifi Butt to the Punjab police. The police said that Taifi Butt is the prime accused in the murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu and has now been transferred to Lahore.
It is worth mentioning that in February 2024, Ameer Balaj, son of Tipu Truckanwala, was shot dead during a wedding ceremony.
Chuhang Police Station had registered the case of Ameer Balaj’s murder, naming Khawaja Tareef Gulshan alias Taifi Butt and Aqeel alias Gogi Butt as accused. The main accused in the case, Ahsan Shah, was killed in a police encounter, while Taifi Butt had fled the country.
