DG ISPR has said that together with the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we will eradicate terrorism from its roots. Pakistan has been fighting the scourge of terrorism for two decades.

According to details, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, while addressing a press conference, said that the Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate terrorism. He added that he has come to renew the resolve on behalf of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

DG ISPR has said that we pay tribute to those martyred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During 2024, a total of 435 intelligence-based operations were conducted in KP. During the operations against terrorists, 272 personnel of the Pakistan Army and 140 policemen were martyred.

While speaking during a press conference, DG ISPR said that thousands of Pakistanis and members of the security forces have made Pakistan safe with their blood. In 2024, a total of 14,535 operations were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 272 personnel of the Pakistan Army and 140 policemen were martyred.

During the conversation, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that operations against terrorists are conducted based on intelligence information. This year, 516 people were martyred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate terrorism. The number of daily intelligence-based operations is around 40.

The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, DG ISPR, said that terrorists and their facilitators were given space under a well-thought-out plan. Terrorists used 30 Afghan suicide bombers in the last two years. The number of foreign terrorists killed this year is the highest in the past 10 years.

During the discussion on terrorism, the DG ISPR said that the increase in terrorism is due to the lack of implementation of the National Action Plan. Governance in the province was deliberately weakened. The presence of terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan and the supply of modern weapons there are among the reasons for the rise in terrorism.

The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are bravely confronting terrorism. The DG ISPR said that the brave sons have written history with their blood. It is important to understand the factors that cause an increase in terrorism. Politics was done over the issue of terrorism, and the matters were made complicated.
