The worker remittances in September 2025 witnessed an 11.3 percent increase as the inflows stood at $3.2 billion, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) data showed on Thursday.
As per the SBP statement, remittances inflows during September 2025 were mainly sourced from Saudi Arabia ($750.9 million), United Arab Emirates ($677.1 million), United Kingdom ($454.8 million) and United States of America ($269.0 million).
Moreover, worker’s remittances increased by 8.4 percent to $9.5 billion during the first quarter of this fiscal year, compared to $8.8 billion received during the same period last year.
Pakistan received a record $38.3 billion in workers’ remittances during the last fiscal year, marking an increase of approximately $8 billion over the previous 12 months.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Saudi Arabia was the largest source of remittances in FY25, contributing $9.34 billion. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates with $7.83 billion, the United Kingdom with $5.99 billion, and the United States with $3.72 billion.
Remittances from other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, excluding Saudi Arabia and the UAE, amounted to $3.71 billion, while European Union countries contributed $3.53 billion.
